Trading Results Overview June 2023

Dear Traders,

In June, Athena EA delivered 4.75% (via RannForex), while some Portfolio Flagship investors saw a 14% drawdown, making June one of the least profitable months this year. 

Let’s take a look at what exactly went down, how it differs from our expectations, and whether it had any impact on the targeted expected yearly profit for Portfolio Flagship.

Retail Accounts

Performance in the table is reported based on aggregated results across (sometimes) multiple brokers, this is done to make it easier to understand, and we take a weighted mean average.

Athena EA

Athena EA had a good month again. The trading system secured another +4.15% with VT Markets, +4.67% with RannForex, and +3% with KTM in the month of June. This grid  MT4 Expert Advisor has been running for three years now and has generated more than 500% profit.

The best overall performance is clearly with RannForex, thanks to their execution technology and discount broker model, one of the best execution technologies in the Forex market; the broker has also been recently granted an FSA (Seychelles) license and will now offer even more security. Portfolio Method

Hunting for news-based quick trades continued on the Flagship account in June, encountering a a 15% dd on one trade via several accounts that we trade Portfolio Flagship with.

In June, the average Portfolio Flagship account hit a 15% dd  for our retail investors, while VIP clients still enjoyed a 60% average return on investment due to the difference between execution principles. 

Here it’s important to mention that, despite using the same methodology – which revolves around entering a larger-than-average position based on our read of the market and the technology that helps us spot price inefficiencies at the time of entry. 

Unfortunately, we hit a DD on all Flagship accounts, but eToro Pro (where we had a 120%+ this month) in June. 

The dd happened over one trade that hasn’t gone our way, which is within targeted results and parameters, therefore, will not draw too much of our attention, especially considering an average of 140%+ in 2023 so far.

MT4/5, Ctrader accounts that trade Portfolio Flag, most brokers, unfortunately, don’t yet offer PAMM to allow us to connect retail clients.

Portfolio Flag is a discretionary news-based, latency approach that uses bespoke software and relies on professional fund management services. You can expect an up to 14% average monthly return.

Since last month, you can monitor your investment via an account area; just make sure you are a part of one of the official Flagship Pamms with RannForex & VT Markets (no requirement for a connected broker for VIP clients).

Algo (ECS Live: Telegram Signals)

After two consecutive months in profit, the account has hit a stalemate; we are continuing to optimize performance on this account, trades for which you can follow by joining us on telegram.

Last May, we added four new EAs to the mix, as well as adjusted settings for other EAs, expecting to see a further gain. After hitting a breakeven in June, we will work of further optimizing the solution

Heads Up for the Summer 

Athena EA has reached +500% since we launched it three years ago; we are now looking into bringing more capital to this method, despite its “antics” with No SL orders and overall “Grid” approach to trading popular currencies. 

We are looking into a way to make all our retail and private clients more involved in spreading information about the opportunities related to Athen EA trading. 

From June, private investors can also visit their account area to follow the investment across 10+ brokers and invest directly via crypto, forgoing the need to touch a broker website.

To keep things simple, we will be looking to add more broker options for retail clients (who also have seen +74% with Flagship on VT markets) who prefer to join via Forex & CFD broker directly.

This summer, we will dig deeper into trading; there is work on infrastructure, servers, and the annual risk management meeting.
