Californian no-fee cryptocurrency exchange Robinhood App is now offering support for Ethereum Classic (ETC).

Hi Traders,

Robinhood is thrilled to announce the sixth listed crypto asset on its no-commission trading platform Robinhood App. The company valued at $ 5.6 billion is now accepting Ethereum Classic. The news was made on Monday. According to it, citizens can now store and trade ETC.

The news comes about a month after the company announced it supports Litecoin (LTC) and Bitcoin Cash (BCH)- based trading pairs and three days later after announcing the expansion to Georgia state.

“I think sovereign nations are going to have cryptocurrencies as their default currencies at some point. I think this is largely inevitable, whether that happens next year or in 15 years I don’t know but I’m almost 100% convinced that’s going to happen,” claimed Robinhood CEO Baiju Bhatt earlier this year.

Robinhood’s decision to accept Ethereum Classic comes in response to the similar announcement made by its main competitor Coinbase, a famous Californian cryptocurrency exchange.

Availability

According to the website, Robinhood App’s services are currently available in 19 US states: “Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Indiana, Iowa, Massachusetts, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, New Jersey, Wisconsin plus new added Georgia.”

As a result of the new listing, crypto users are now able to purchase and sell Bitcoin (BTC), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Ethereum (ETH), Litecoin (LTC), Dogecoin (DOGE), and Ethereum Class (ETC).

Robinhood company does not cease to launch new projects. The Californian company, which managed to raise $ 363 million through its Series D funding round, is currently designing a crypto wallet, a service that its competitor already offers.

How strong they would not believe, the two companies will soon have a new competitor called Voyager, a cryptocurrency exchange designed by former tech developers at giants like E*Trade and Uber. The startup said it would initially provide support for at least 15 crypto assets.

According to CoinMarketCap, Ethereum Classic has a market cap of $1,903,805,544 and is traded at $18.38, up 9.94.
