ECS Athena EA: Aggressive but Consistent Results with Low Drawdown

15 min read

Dear Traders,

Elite CurrenSea is back with its most aggressive method yet: Athena EA. Why aggressive?

Because it aims at high returns such as 10 to 25% per month. But despite the high risk versus high return ratio, Athena EA has managed to close all months in profitable territory (not a single month ended up in a loss).

So what is ECS Athena all about? Let’s review the statistics, the ideas behind the method, and how you can start trading with the Athena EA. But we will also do comparison with our previous system Ultima EA and our current methods ECS Portfolio and Zeus EA.

Athena EA Video Explains Details

Do you prefer to listen to our new update? Then check out the video below with all the information and statistics. If you prefer the text version, then please keep reading below.

Statistics of the Athena EA

First of all, you can follow the live results via myfxbook. We are running two trading accounts:

The account in the image is showing our account with the longest track record: more than 1 year. Of course, the statistics change quickly so feel free to check the updated information anytime.

The total performance in more than 1 year of live trading: +160%:

  • Almost 8% return per month on average.
  • Low draw-down of 33.7%.
  • 71% win rate with a profit factor above 1.60.
  • Average trade length is less than 6 hours.

As you can see in the above image, the performance is very consistent. All months closed with a clear gain. Furthermore, the distribution of the results is very equal.

The image below also shows how low the drawdown levels are. The draw-down never exceeded the 10% threshold for this first account in more than 1 year.

Method Behind the Athena EA

Firstly, Athena EA is a fully automated expert advisor. It makes all of the trading decisions. This means that the EA does all of the entries and exits so traders and investors do not need to do any trading.

Athena EA is a technical analysis based EA that behaves carefully around major news events (such as NFP, non-farm payroll) by pausing the EA:

  • Athena EA is only traded on the EUR/USD.
  • The EA is traded on a mixture of time frames, depending on the capital.
  • The EA is fully, 100% automated.
  • The EA is based on technical analysis, using price swings, price action, moving averages, and oscillators.
  • The EA avoids major news events.

Because of the low draw-down and consistent monthly results, investors can add or withdraw capital from the method at any point in time. There is full flexibility with your capital, also because your capital is deposited on your own account with the broker.

There is a difference whether you rent/buy the EA or whether you invest capital as an investor via the PAMM managed account option.

Investing via PAMM Rent / buy EA with

Automated trading Yes Yes Yes

Manage the timeframes and risk No No Yes

Private telegram channel & email updates Yes Yes Yes

VPS= virtual private server

The trading is always done fully automatically regardless whether you rent, buy, or invest.

The main advantage of investing via the PAMM is that there are zero costs before starting, because you pay a share of the profit on a monthly basis.

The main advantages of renting or buying is that you keep much more of the profit for yourself in the long-term.

Most traders are better off using our VPS – virtual private server – because then there is no action needed besides signing up and adding capital. ECS fully manages the accounts.

If you use your VPS: there is some minor management that is needed if you use your VPS – virtual private server – for running the EA. You would need to pauze the EA before major news events and restart the EA afterwards. You also need to change the time frames and risk settings depending on the capital level and your risk appetite. That said, you do have the ability to take more risk or less risk depending on your preference.

You can join ECS Athena EA as a renter, buyer or investor.

Compare Athena EA with Other ECS Systems

In this comparison, we are only taking into account fully automated systems and not manual trading systems like SWAT and Options trading.

The table takes into account seven different factors: consistency, draw-down, gains, win rate, method, news, and instruments. We have highlighted the best aspects in bold.

ECS Athena EA ECS Portfolio  ECS Zeus EA Bull Capital’s Ultima EA
Consistency High High High Low
Draw-down Low Very low Medium High
Gains Very high High Medium Variable
Win rate High High High Low
Method Single  Diverse Single Single
News into account? Yes Yes No  No
Instruments EUR/USD Mixture EUR/USD EUR/USD

As you can see in the above table, the potential gains with ECS Athena EA is its most striking advantage. But also the consistency is high and the draw-downs are quite low.

The biggest advantage of the ECS Portfolio method is the fact that its draw-down is very low, the method is diverse, and it takes the news into account.

You can join ECS Athena EA as a renter, buyer or investor.

Learn How to Join the Athena EA

First, you will need to decide whether to buy, rent, or invest in the Athena EA. Please keep in mind that if you want to trade the EA yourself (by renting or buying), then you need an account with a 500:1 leverage.

What if you cannot get an account with 500:1 leverage? Then there is the option to invest funds in our managed account (as a PAMM investor). Always trade with capital that you can afford to risk and potentially lose of course.

Trading with less than 4,000 USD or EUR? Keep in mind that in this case, you need to trade with a “cent account” until your account reaches 4,000. It is a must to use the cent account below 4,000 USD or EUR. Capital above 4,000 USD or EUR can use the EA on a normal account type.

Renting or buying EA with ECS VPS

  1. Complete the purchase of the ECS Athena – either renting (yearly) or buying (one-time).
  2. Share your account details (account number, password, and server name.
  3. Indicate your risk appetite.

Buying EA with Your VPS

  1. Complete the purchase of the ECS Athena – only option is buying (one-time).
  2. Share your account number.
  3. Setup the EA on your account with the help of our manual.
  4. Adjust the risk, time frames and pause/restart the EA once we indicate to do so in the telegram chat and via email.

When you buy the EA, our Elite CurrenSea VPS (virtual private server) is added for 1 year. It is obligatory to use our VPS because you can use your own as well. If you do use the Elite CurrenSea VPS, then the life-time payment includes 1 year of this VPS. If you want to keep using the VPS after that 1 year, you will need to pay for a 1 year extension (which of course will be a lot cheaper than the current buying price and you could always decide to drop our VPS if you don’t want it in the second year).

Managed Account (PAMM Investor)

There are 3 simple steps to join the ECS Athena PAMM as an investor.. Once you join, there is no other action needed in any way.

  1. Open and verify an account with a supported broker
  2. Deposit funds (minimum is $500)
  3. Join the ECS Athena PAMM

Please also check the detailed instructions for joining the PAMM here.

There are zero upfront costs to join. There are no fees before you start trading Athena EA.

Once you start trading, the profit share is between 25% and 35% (investors keep 65-75%) and is calculated on a monthly basis.

The profit share is calculated using the high-water mark (HWM) method. This means that investors only share 25-35% with ECS based on new profits (once a new account high has been made (not including deposits). For instance:

  • An investor with $5,000 in deposits and $1,000 in profits ($6,000 capital at the moment) will need to cross the $6,000 before paying a profit share.
  • If the account reaches $7,000, then the trader pays 30% of the $1,000 profit ($4,000-$3,000) and they keep the rest (70% of $1,000).

Join ECS Athena EA as a renter, buyer or investor.

Good trading,
Elite CurrenSea team
